Our Remodeling Workmanship Warranty

At J&J Construction, we take pride in the work we do and stand behind our craftsmanship. Our warranty gives you a clear understanding of your coverage once your remodeling project is complete, and our team is always here to help if a question or concern comes up.

 

5-Year Workmanship Warranty

J&J Construction provides a 5-year warranty on workmanship, so you can feel confident that your remodel is built to last.

 

60-Day Coverage

For 60 days after your project wraps up, our warranty also covers:

  • Warping and deflection of wood
  • Paint checking, peeling, cracking, or bleeding through
  • Incidental shrinking and cracking in:
    • Concrete and masonry
    • Exterior cedar siding or trim
    • Ceramic tile grout
    • Caulking and weather-stripping
    • Interior trim

1-Year Drywall Touch-Ups

For one year after your project is complete, J&J Construction will provide touch-ups, as needed, to new drywall installed as part of your project.

This coverage applies to the drywall itself and does not include nicks, dents, scratches, or other damage that occurs after project completion. Any repainting, redecorating, or cleanup needed as a result of drywall touch-up work is also excluded.

 

Product & Manufacturer Warranties

Many of the products we install during a remodeling project come with warranties from their manufacturers.

J&J’s warranty does not provide labor coverage for manufacturer’s product warranty claims. That said, we’re happy to help coordinate the installation of warranty replacement parts with our licensed subcontractors.

If you purchased a product through us and have a concern, please feel free to contact any member of our team at any time to help you file a warranty claim with the manufacturer.

 

Our Plumbing Fixture Recommendation

You’re welcome to choose your own plumbing fixtures. However, J&J Construction exclusively recommends Kohler products because many come with a lifetime warranty.

How Long Is J&J Construction’s Workmanship Warranty?

J&J Construction provides a 5-year workmanship warranty. 

What Is Covered for the First 60 Days After My Project Is Completed?

For 60 days following the completion of the work, coverage includes warping and deflection of wood; checking, peeling, cracking, or bleeding through of paint; and incidental shrinking and cracking in concrete, masonry, exterior cedar siding or trim, ceramic tile grout, caulking, weather-stripping, and interior trim. 

Will J&J Construction Repair Drywall Cracks After My Remodel?

For one year following the completion of your project, J&J will touch up drywall as necessary. This does not include related repainting, redecorating, or cleanup.

Are Products and Materials Covered by J&J Construction’s Warranty?

No, but products may have warranties provided by their manufacturers. J&J Construction’s warranty does not provide labor coverage for valid homeowner claims under a manufacturer’s product warranty. 

Can J&J Help Me With a Manufacturer Warranty Claim?

Yes. If the product was purchased through J&J Construction, you can contact any member of our team at any time for help filing a warranty claim with the manufacturer. 

Who Installs Replacement Parts Covered by a Manufacturer’s Warranty?

J&J Construction is happy to coordinate the installation of warranty replacement parts with our licensed subcontractors, but labor coverage is not included under our warranty.
