Aurora Bathroom Remodel: Spa-Like Retreat Transformation

This Aurora family had their kitchen remodeled awhile ago, and when we received the call about updating their primary ensuite bathroom, we were excited to get started on their bathroom makeover. Repeat clients demonstrate a commitment to enhancing both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of their home. Returning for a second project reflects their trust in the quality of our previous work and a desire to continue improving their living space. A master bathroom remodel creates a personal retreat, and this renovation does just that. We listened to their vision and lifestyle and got to work on designing a bright and airy luxurious space for them. These projects allow J&J Construction to build upon our relationships and ensure the end result always exceeds our clients’ expectations.
For this project we removed the double-door doorway between the bathroom and the master bedroom and replaced it with a single swing door. This allowed more room for a larger walk-in shower. Changing the footprint of a primary bathroom to accommodate a larger shower can significantly enhance both the functionality and aesthetic of the bathroom space. By expanding the shower area we were able to incorporate a bench and more room for movement, making it more accessible as well. A larger shower often becomes a focal point, contributing to the overall look and increasing the bathroom’s value. The wall tiles are 12×24 Mayfair Statuario Venato, and floor tiles are the same, in a smaller 2×2 size.
This bathroom remodel included updates on every aspect of this space. The most significant change seen here is that our team replaced the old tub and dated tub deck with a new freestanding tub. This Sterling Spectacle freestanding bathtub with Devonshire brushed nickel faucet truly gives this bathroom that special touch. Combining luxury with practicality, the oval, ergonomic design conforms to and supports your body as you stretch out and enjoy a deep, relaxing soak. The tub is surrounded by 12×24 polished tiles, also in Mayfair Statuario Venato. A freestanding tub is a striking addition to any bathroom, particularly a primary ensuite. Its upscale and sculptural design offers a unique and elegant touch.
This luxurious walk-in shower offers a spacious experience, featuring glass that creates an open, airy feel. With a multi-function handheld shower system in brushed nickel and modern tile work (12×24 in Mayfair Statuario Venato on the walls and 2×2 on the shower floor), this shower is not just for getting clean, it is meant for spa-like relaxation. A built-in bench in Hanstone Specchio white was added for comfort and a towel hook and centered 12×18 wall niche were incorporated for convenience. This shower is a functional and beautiful solution for a refreshing master bathroom vibe.
This new bathroom vanity combines sleek, modern design with functionality, featuring a countertop in Hanstone Specchio White with ½ inch bullnose and backsplash. This color tone is beautiful for a bright bathroom with creams and taupes. Its clean lines and gray tones make it a focal point in this primary ensuite bathroom. Ample storage includes Bertch cabinets with osage doors and a graphite satin finish. Complimentary brushed nickel hardware completes the look. For task lighting you’ve got a Devonshire two-light vanity sconce to light up the gorgeous 24×36 large beveled frameless mirror, making getting ready in the morning a breeze. This remodel includes a widespread vanity faucet and Caxton rectangle vanity sink. The vanity’s durable construction ensures longevity, while its stylish appearance elevates the overall aesthetic.
Modern brushed nickel wall accessories, a highline comfort height toilet by Kohler, and an appealing gray paint color with blue undertones by Benjamin Moore round out this stunning renovation.
